This policy explains what information Thankspark collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash). Content: the good-deed stories, nominee details, photos, and thank-you notes you submit. Payment data: contributions are handled by Stripe — we do not store your full card number. Technical data: a secure login cookie and basic logs needed to operate the service.
To run the platform: create and secure your account, display nominations, process contributions and payouts, send transactional emails (verification, receipts, nomination invites, winner announcements), and prevent fraud and abuse.
We share only what's necessary with service providers who help us operate: Stripe (payments and payouts), our email provider (transactional emails), and our cloud storage provider (uploaded photos). We do not sell your personal information or send marketing blasts.
We use a single secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards (hashed passwords, encrypted transport, access controls), though no method is 100% secure.
You can update your account details, request deletion of your account, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails. To make a request, contact us through the site.
Thankspark is intended for people 18 and older and is not directed to children.
We may update this policy and will revise the date above. Questions about your privacy? Reach us through the contact options on the site.
